Description
From the parking area head down to the creek which is crossed on a small footbridge (.1 km, 1080 m). Across the bridge the trail rises fairly steeply through a series of 3 long switchbacks (ignore the spur trail to the right just after the second switchback). The trail then levels for a while before resuming its climb to a junction (1330 m) where you have the option of heading to either the upper viewpoint (1440 m) or the lower one (1315 m).It takes a few minutes to climb to the summit of the upper viewpoint (the views are almost as good from half way up, the upper viewpoint lets you view the Hoodoos from directly above).
It is a short, 3 minute descent to the lower viewpoint. It is worthwhile walking along the creek bed to view the entire formations.
Features
This trail features canyons, forests and natural wonders (Hoodoos).
Comments
This short, steep trail leads to a group of Hoodoos, natural pillar formations of sand capped by rocks.
Little water is available on this trail, be sure to take plenty with you.
