Description
Catch the Saltspring ferry to Fulford Harbour, from the ferry walk to the Reginald Hill strata development (about 1km from the ferry at the end of Morningside Drive). Go through the gate and take the first driveway on your left and follow the red metal markers (keep left at the first fork in the road). You then come to a spot where there is a chain across the road. Continue past the chain, the trail itself starts soon after this. The trail climbs, sometimes steeply, though a forest of cedar and Douglas Fir with a few Arbutus trees in the higher elevations. The summit is open with views to the south, west and north.
If you are driving to the trailhead there is parking outside the strata development. Driving to the trailhead reduces the one way hike distance by 1km and entails roughly 35m less elevation gain.
