Maffeo-Sutton Park Trailhead: (109 km from Saanich Hall, ferry required). Drive north from Victoria to Nanaimo on the Trans Canada Highway (#1). Turn right on Comox Road and then turn left immediately into the Nanaimo Civic Area, drive down past the arena to Maffeo-Sutton Park.

Backpack	Easy.	10 minutes one way.	Suitable all year.
Dayhike	1 boot (easy).	2.5 hours for the loop.	Best from mid June thru mid September.
Mountain biking	Easy.		Best from May thru early October.

From Maffeo-Sutton Park you catch the passenger only ferry to Newcastle Island (summer only).
