Phillimore Point Road Trailhead: Drive north from Victoria to Swartz Bay and catch the ferry to Sturdies Bay, Galiano Island. Drive along Sturdies Bay Road to Phillimore Point Road, turn left and continue for about 5 minutes until you see a sign "Summit Trail, Galiano Mountain".

Description
After climbing in a north-northwesterly direction for about 10 minutes the trail swings to the south and climbs fairly steeply and close to some cliffs in places. After about 2 km (40 minutes) the trail intersects an old logging road, turn south (left) and continue about 1 km futher to the summit.

The trail comes close to the edge of some cliffs.
There was a major forest fire on the south end of Galiano Island in the summer of 2006. At the time the information on this trail was published the effect on this trail was not known.
