Atkins Road Trailhead: (13 km from Saanich Hall). Drive west from Victoria 10.4 km to Millstream Road, turn left (south) and drive 1.1 km to Atkins Road (which is immediately before the first traffic light on Millstream Road). Turn left and drive another 1.1 km to the park entrance on your left. Note: The CRD Parks District Office is immediately before the entrance to the park, do not take this turn but continue on a short distance to the signed entrance.
Mt Work Trailhead: (10 km from Saanich Hall). Drive north from Victoria on BC#17, take the Royal Oak exit, turning left on Royal Oak Drive. Turn right on West Saanich Road and continue until you come to Wallace Drive (on your left, just past a barn market). Follow this to Durrance Road on your left which you take until you see the Mt Work turnoff sign on the left side of the road. Park in the Mt Work parking area a short ways down this road.

Description
Given the complicated nature of the trails and the number of junctions encountered, hikers are advised to use this route for the first two or three times in the company of a knowledgeable guide.
This route takes you from Mill Hill to Mt Work via Seymour Hill, Scafe Hill and Stewart Mtn.
Take the main trail to the summit of Mill Hill, exit to the north and follow the trail to the cliffs over the Trans Canada Highway. Continue down and cross the exit ramp at the cross walk. Cross again to the east side of the Thetis Lake access road and walk up into the park. Take the trail to Seymour Hill summit and continue down on the trail to the north.
Climb to the top of Scafe Hill, again descending by the trail off the north, then climb to the summit of Stewart Mtn. Continiue heading north as you descend to Millstream Rd. Turn right on Millstream road and watch fot the Horseshoe trail on the opposite side of the road. Follow this trail to the Millstream Rd parking area for Mt Work, then take the summit trail up and over the summit of Mt Work to the parking area at the north end of Mt Work.
