Narvaez Bay Rd Trailhead: Drive north from Victoria on highway 17 through Sidney to the end of the highway. Take the ferry from Swartz Bay to Saturna Island. Drive the East Point Road from the ferry. At the junction where the East Point Road turns off to the left stay staight on Narvez Bay Rd. Stop at the general store to ask directions to the trail (to date we"ve never hiked the trail from Narvaez Bay Rd).

Valley Rd Trailhead:

Take the ferry from Swartz Bay to Saturna Island. Drive the East Point Road from the ferry. Turn left at the junction where the East Point Road turns off to the left and Narvez Bay Rd continues straight (if you reach the general store you've gone too far). Drive down the hill and look for Valley Road on your right (at almost the lowest point in the road - directly across from Sunset Road).

Description

This trail runs between the trailhead on Valley Rd (off East Point Rd) and Narvaez Bay Rd (near the bakery). It travels through the forested heart of the island beside Lyall Creek, up past a magical waterfall and then climbs steeply to Narvaez Bay Rd.

Features

This trail features forests (Douglas-fir and Western red cedar) and waterfalls.
