Swartz Bay Trailhead: (28 km from Saanich Hall, ferry required). Drive north from Victoria on highway 17 through Sidney to the end of the highway.

The trail officially begins at the switch bridge but Club Tread events traditionally meets at Saanich Municipal Hall, a short distance east of the bridge.
This trail goes past beaches, farmland, and wetlands, traveling down country lanes, on dedicated cycle paths and for sections sharing public roads.
