Description

Lochside Regional Trail is principally used for cycling events in the club. This trail runs from a junction with the Galloping Goose trail on the north side of the swing bridge through Saanich and out the Saanich Peninsula to the Swartz Bay ferry terminal. The trail surface is a mixture of pavement and gravel. Sections of the trail permit equestrian use.

The trail officially begins at the switch bridge but Club Tread events traditionally meets at Saanich Municipal Hall, a short distance east of the bridge.

This trail goes past beaches, farmland, and wetlands, traveling down country lanes, on dedicated cycle paths and for sections sharing public roads.
