Description
This trail drops from the trailhead into a valley with a few stream crossings, continues along and drops to the intersection with the unmaintained Swift Creek Trail (at approx 4km). There is an outhouse at this point and an unbridged stream crossing immediately following. This is the most difficult crossing on the route. The trial then climbs through some open forest before emerging in a meadow beneath Mt Shuskan, The trail climbs steadily now to the saddle above the lake. The campsites are toward the far end of the lake (stay right at the unsigned junction part way along the lake shore).
Features
This trail features flowers, forests, glacial views, lakes, meadows, mountains, views and fabulous views of the Upper and Lower Curtis glaciers on Mt Shuskan.
