It is possible to hike a loop up either using this trail or the Mt Angeles trail and return to your vehicle using the other trail. Another option is to drive or take a bus to Hurricane Ridge and hike back using the Klahhane Ridge trail to access the junction and then picking either the Heather Park or Mt Angeles trails back to the trailhead just outside the park entrance on Hurricane Ridge Road (if you drive up someone will either have to drive you back to pick up your vehicle or someone will have to bring it back down).
