Hoh Ranger's Station Trailhead: From Port Angeles, it"s an hour"s drive to the Hoh Valley Ranger Station. Take WA#101 west from Port Angeles.
Uses
Description
The trail is relatively flat for the first 18 km and then climbs steeply to the base of Mt Olympus in the final 11 km.It gains about 200 meters in the first 16km then over 1200 meters in the next 8km to Glacier Medows. The river trail is wide, soft and gentle. The climb to the glacier is quite stony. It"s almost always WET.

Hazards
Do not venture onto the glaciers of Mt Olympus without proper skills and equipment.
There are a couple of washouts in the lower section of the trial that necessitate wading (1 foot deep). At the 16k mark there is a major washout at Hoh Lake Creek. An alternate route has been cleared, watch for the detour.
The trail tread is completely gone in the avalanche chutes between Elk Lake and Glacier Meadows, roped belays are strongly recommended in this section.
Comments
This trail provides access to Mount Olympus. The scenery is breathtaking, with few people around during the off-season. The trail is long l but worth the effort.
