Flower Ridge Trailhead: (350 km from Saanich Hall). Take highway #1 north from Victoria to Nanaimo where it becomes BC#19, continue north to Campbell River where you turn west onto BC#28 (to Gold River). Follow this until you enter Strathcona Provincial Park. Take the Westmin Resources Road and watch for a signed pullout area on the left hand side of the road.

Water

Collect water at the camp site half way up the mountain as it can be hard to obtain on the upper slopes late in the year. Backpackers can collect water from small ponds, however it must be boiled, filtered or treated before being consumed.
