Pike Road Trailhead: (57 km from Saanich Hall). Take the Trans Canada Highway (CA#1) west from Victoria, take the Langford exit (exit 14 - 8.8km) and take the Veteran"s Memorial Parkway (highway 14) south to Sooke Road (4.2km)). Follow Sooke Rd to Gillespie Rd (12.2km). Turn left on Gillespie and follow it to the T junction with East Sooke Rd (5.6km). Turn right and follow East Sooke Rd for 7.9km to Pike Rd. The trailhead is at the end of Pike Rd.

Description

This trail starts at the Pike Road parking area and accesses Mt Maguire (official park elevation 268m, our GPS reading 278m) via the Anderson Cove Trail, you then loop down to the coast via the Coppermine Trail returning to the parking area via the Coast and Pike Road trails.

Head south from the parking area on the Pike Road Trail towards Iron Mine Bay, after about 1km turn left onto the Anderson Cove Trail. Follow this for aobut 2km to the junction with the Mt Maguire Trail. Take this trail to the summit and head out to the viewpoint and then return to the Anderson Cove Trail via the same route. Once back on the Anderson Cove Trail continue east for about 300 meters to the junction with the Coppermine Trail. Turn south (right) and follow this trail for about 2.5km to the junction with the Coast Trail (passing a junction for another side trail to the Coast Trail at about 2km). Turn west (right) and follow the coast back to Iron Mine Bay and the junction with the Pike Road Trail (about 1km) passing a side trail for Mt Maguire. Return to the Pike Road trailhead via the Pike Road Trail.
