Devonian Park Trailhead: (22 km from Saanich Hall). Drive west from Victoria on highway #1, take the Colwood exit (6 km) and proceed to Metchosin Road (11.4 km) where you turn left (south) and drive 10.6 km to the Devonian Park parking lot on the left hand side of the road.

Description

This description describes a loop done in what we feel is the most scenic manner. Walk back to the road and continue south for 100 meters to the Helgeson Bridle Trail. Walk down this trail, beside pastoral views over to the ocean with the Olympic Mountains as a backdrop. Continue down the trail to the ocean. On return take the lower trail (on your right) at the first junction and follow this back to the parking lot.
