Vehicle Breakins

Unfortunately breakins to vehicles parked at trailheads are occurring with greater frequency. The following precautions can help protect you from a nasty surprise when you return to your car:

• Take all money and valuables with you on the hike, don't leave anything of value in your car.
• Keep your spare key with you, not in your car.
• Leave extra items at home.
• Be observant.
