Description

The trail is easy until you reach Kinney Lake, from here to Whitehorn the route is only slightly more difficult. Once beyond this camp the challenge begins as the trail ascends the headwall, a 4 hour slog up a shadless slope as you ascend the "Valley-of-a-Thousand Falls". The trail climbs relentlessly at this point, gaining 450m in 3.5km before flattening out at the top for the final 5km to the Berg Lake Campground and shelter.
