Remember the Executive Meeting on Wednesday, May 14 at 7:00pm at Tom's - 1653 Dean Park RoadTo join an activity, call the coordinator preferably two days ahead for day activities and at least one week ahead for overnight trips (or by the booking deadline for the event if one is listed in the schedule).
Most hikes meet at the Saanich Municipal Hall ( 770 Vernon ) at a pre-arranged time.
We car pool and share gas costs. In locations where parking fees are charged passengers share in the cost, the same applies to ferry fares and other transportation related costs (eg: gate fees at National Parks, highway tolls, etc).
Coordinators have the right to limit the number of participants and to set guidelines for smoking, consumption of alcohol, participation of children and pets, and minimum fitness level for the activity. Coordinators are Club members who are volunteers and do not have any special training. Participants must act in a safe manner at all times and should be properly equipped for the activity. This includes proper clothing, footwear, water, first aid and survival kit.
Participants are required to sign a LIABILITY RELEASE before participating in any outdoor event. It is the responsibility of each participant to make the trip coordinator aware of any health problems which may be of concern.
Unless otherwise stated, non members are welcome on our events.
